Kos International Airport also know as Kos Ippokratis Airport is located 24kms west of the islands capital Kos Town. Consisting of two terminals the airport is open 24 hours a day during the summer months with flights charter flights arriving from all over Europe but primarily the UK, Germany and the Netherlands.

Driving Directions for Kos Airport:
For Kos Town, on reaching the first roundabout from the airport, take the second exit. At the next roundabout take the first exit signposted Kos Town. For Kardamena, on reaching the first roundabout from the airport, take the first exit signposted Kardamena. Please note that roads do not have many street lamps so drive with extra caution.

Companies include Avis, Europcar, Hertz and Sixt and are located in the arrivals hall.
Public Transport from Kos Airport:
The airport is situated not far from the picturesque village of Kardamena. A few kilometres away is the island’s main road which leads eastward to the town of Kos, about a 30-minute drive, and westward to Kefalos near the island’s western tip. KTEL buses stop at the giant roundabout outside the airport gates, and run to Kos, Kardamena and Kefalos. Private taxis are available as well but remember to agree the price before setting off.

Airport Facilities at Kos Airport:
Considering the airport’s size, amenities are surprisingly few. There are no banking or postal facilities; however the airport does have a health care centre and a police station. Shopping options are limited to the airport’s duty-free shop. A single restaurant offers food and drinks. Six travel agencies and/or tour operators maintain desks in the terminal buildings, to assist arriving passengers with further travel plans.
