Reus Airport Guide

Reus Airport is located 3 km southeast of the city and 13 km from the Tarragona city centre.

Air traffic is characterised by a great number of international charter flights and by seasonal activity between May and October. The European Union passengers who use charter flights are mostly from the United Kingdom. Scheduled traffic is primarily with London-Stansted, Frankfurt, Dublin and Madrid-Barajas.

Thanks to the "low-cost" airlines, Reus Airport has enjoyed major growth in the last two years, with 1,382,257 passengers during 2005: a 21.5% increase compared to 2004. Furthermore, it handled 24,481 flight operations and 17 tonnes of cargo.

Driving Directions for Reus Airport:
The airport can be reached directly from the T-11 national road. The average journey time from Reus varies between five and fifteen minutes and, from Tarragona, between ten and twenty-five, depending on traffic and the time of the year.

Car Parking at Reus Airport:
There is an open air car park on the terminal with capacity for 444 vehicles.

Car Hire at Reus Airport:
Companies include Avis, Europcar, Hertz and Sol-Mar. Desks and offices are located at Arrivals in the terminal building. 

Public Transport from Reus Airport:
There are currently three bus lines linking the airport with Reus, Barcelona and the coast, respectively. The bus stop for these lines is in front of the arrivals door of the passenger terminal building.

Money and communications: There is one bank La Caixa in the terminal with an ATM machine. Eating and drinking: There are 2 cafeteria’s at the airport including a self-service. Shopping: There is a duty-free shop and a small “multi purpose” shop open during the summer months. Luggage: There is a left-luggage and lost property facility at the airport. Other facilities: There are 24-hour first aid services, children’s play area, and police office.

There are no VIP lounges at Reus Airport.

Disabled Facilities at Reus Airport:
Reus airport has adapted services and facilities for the movement of the disabled:

  • Two parking spaces.
  • Adapted toilets in each airport lounge (check-in, arrivals and departures).

  • Furthermore, leaflets containing all services for the disabled are available to users at the information desk.
