Menorca’s Mahon Airport is situated approximately 4.5 kilometres to the south-west of the island's capital, Mahón. Its facilities provide a premium service, meeting both the island's tourism needs as well as those of its capital city, Mahón, where it is located.

It is primarily a tourist airport with a large number of charter flights, especially during the summer.

Most of the traffic handled by the airport is international. The United Kingdom, Germany and Italy account for the greatest number of passengers. Nationally, Barcelona, Palma de Mallorca and Madrid are the most important destinations.

In 2005, the airport handled 2,590,733 passengers, 29,428 flight operations and 3,829 tonnes of cargo.

Driving Directions for Menorca Mahon Airport:
From Mahon: access is by the ME-12; then take the ME-14, towards the airport.

From Ciutadella: access is by the ME-1; then take the ME-14, towards the airport.

  • There is a lift that provides access to the restaurant and the offices, another to the boarding gates on the first floor and an outside panoramic lift that provides access to the departures floor.
  • Access ramps.
  • Adapted telephone booths.
  • Wheelchairs and special vehicles for passenger boarding and disembarking.
